ADA – The No. 10-ranked Ohio Northern volleyball team ran its win streak to nine matches with a homecoming victory over Muskingum 30-21, 30-22, 30-21.
The Polar Bears improve to 19-6 overall and 5-1 in the Ohio Athletic Conference. The Fighting Muskies drop to 12-9 overall and 3-2 in the OAC.

In Game 2, Muskingum again hung in early until a Craig-led 9-1 run gave Northern a 19-12 lead. Craig notched two kills and a block during the game-breaking run. A Fighting Muskies 4-1 run closed the score to 20-16, but that is the closest they would get as the Polar Bears dominated the net on their way to a 30-22 victory...

SPRINGFIELD — The No. 10-ranked Ohio Northern volleyball team went 2-0 on the first day of the the Wittenberg Border Battle on Friday.
The two-day tournament features four teams from Ohio and four teams from Michigan playing each other.
The Polar Bears (7-4) opened the tournament with a 30-32, 30-18, 30-14, 30-25 victory over Kalamazoo (Mich.) Friday afternoon and followed that by defeating Hope (Mich.) 30-28, 30-27, 30-23 Friday evening.
ONU got 18 kills from sophomore Laura Vuyk and 12 kills from junior Sara McGinnis in the victory over the Hornets (4-5). Senior Erika Roof dished out 45 assists and junior Karlee Kanuckel had a team-high 31 digs in the victory.
Against Hope, McGinnis had a team-high 17 kills, while freshmen Samantha Markham and Molly Craig added 10 kills each.
Roof had 50 assists and Kanuckel again led ONU in digs with 30.
The Polar Bears will face Alma (Mich.) at 9:30 am on Saturday and will wrap up the tournament with a 12:30 pm match against Calvin (Mich.) Saturday afternoon.
